I'll gladly follow the recommendations of the locals -- a place where
dinner is served would be nice, but is not mandatory.

We're staying near Omiya station, so that works out nicely. I have to
ask the others in my group when we get back from sightseeing, but I
think 7 should be fine.

I might be bringing a friend who doesn't speak any Japanese, and my
knowledge is limited (just doing the year two course).
