Hi Erwan. Hi.

Haha, I still remember using both "gtf" and "cvt" to generate mode lines.

Care to elaborate what issues with Wayland you still have?

Last time I tried basically everything worked for me, even fractional
scaling within Firefox but… I got a black screen in Nextcloud Talk in full
screen mode in Firefox.

I intend to try Wayland again with Plasma 6.3 which is a new major
release. Also there have been several Firefox releases since my last
attempt. But it can be painful. After each switch I need to adapt Plasma
configuration as widgets get repositioned in crazy ways, mouse pointer
acceleration works differently and so on.

I sure hope that Wayland works well enough for me and you and everyone
else soon. It is not that I beg to stay on X11. I like to move. But
everything needs to work just fine(TM).

I had this with Pulseaudio back then. I had it with Network Manager back
then. Probably a dozen of "does is work?" switch cycles to them with
switching back disappointedly cause something did not work. Pipewire is
quite the exception. After I finally switched to it a few days ago: No
issues whatsoever so far. However I did not try Bluetooth so far as I
disabled necessary Qualcomm driver as it breaks both hibernation and
suspend big time on this ThinkPad T14 AMD Gen 5.

Best,
