gpgsm trust prompt blocks certificate verification on Debian KDE

Hello,

I am seeing a certificate trust prompt on Debian/KDE from `gpgsm --server` =
when=20
handling an S/MIME certificate from a mailing list participant. The problem=
 is=20
not primarily the certificate itself, but that the trust dialog grabs exclu=
sive=20
focus, so I cannot properly use the desktop in parallel to inspect the=20
certificate, verify the fingerprint, or check the trust chain before making=
 a=20
decision. This creates a poor and arguably unsafe workflow, because I am as=
ked=20
to trust a CA at exactly the moment when independent verification is diffic=
ult.=20
Is this expected behavior with GnuPG / `gpgsm` on KDE, and is there a=20
recommended way to verify certificate details first without being forced in=
to=20
this modal prompt?
