'X' stopped working completely after some time.
Finally I made the complete reinstall and now it is working perfectly.
Never understood, what caused to problem.
The laptop is Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo mobile D9500
At least 'wifi' there works only with the commercial driver, which I installed during the installation process. The rest seems to be compatible with 'jessie'.

Subject: problems with gdm and gnome and ...
After the recent updates I got several problems.
My system is 'jessie'.
1)
The login screen looks 'strange' and I have to login two times to get in.
2)
Gnome doesn't work
3)
with xfce I have no icons.
Where should I start looking for, to find solutions?
It might have something to do with the fact that I had earlier besides gdm3, ldm as well, (but I have done 'purge uninstall'. I have reinstalled gdm3 after that.)
I have tried as well xdm, but that doesn't work at all.
