Upgraded my laptop to 4.7.0-1-amd64 and it hangs displaying this message:-

Started Update UTMP about System Runlevel Changes....

I was able to access it in recovery mode.

There are other errors in the log:-

1) Unable to start X server.
2) ACPI errors.

Tried using reportbug but it exits with a load of errors, so I thought I
could ask on this forum if anybody has any ideas.
The "Update UTMP" error has in the past been linked to X server issues.

Thanks,
Rob
