Hi,

answering myself: upgrading packages to versions in unstable "solved" the problem, so it seems to be fixed recently, wheras I do not know which package was responsible or its reason.

Betreff: Lenovo T420 delays suspend to RAM in stretch (with activated wifi), regression

Hi,

I would like to help fixing a possible regression in stretch. With activated wifi-network there is an aproximately 5 seconds delay when going to suspend (to RAM) (FN-F4 key or Cinnamon-menu).

With disabled wifi there is instant suspend beahaviour. In wheezy there was no delay with suspend with activated wifi.

Any ideas e.g. which information is required for a bug report and which package should be adressed?

I had this behaviour as well with an older kernel (4.4? in stretch)

wifi is (iwlwifi-6000-4.ucode)

Steps:

invoke suspend (FN-F4 key or Cinnamon-menu)

instant: screensaver

5 second delay in which even a unlock (relogin) is possible.

suspend established

Yours, happy new year
