Update, I decided to test whether my mail app COULD indeed handle the reply-to header.

I use addy.io, which does use a reply-to header so that when I reply to someone who sends email to one of my aliases, it replies from that alias.
So, clearly my mail provider is having difficulty with the list, or whoever configured the list, did not do so properly, because the headers simply do not exist at time of delivery again, I don't want the digest, I want just the plain version that shows me everything, so bear that in mind.
So yes, I wasn't crazy my mail app is compit?t enough to have reply all and respects email headers that is WHEN SET so either the list owner never configured this list correctly, or my mail server is stripping headers somehow.
Not sure if this is related but sometimes instead of a message preview I just get the PGP or GPG mail text (that's all it says just those couple of words) and I can only see the message if I click on it, not sure why I've never seen PGP used in a setting like this, usually its reserved for things like protonmail where under the hood it uses pgp as its prefered message encryption, but not sure how it would work standalone.
So, now at least we have something to go off of, the problem is, is the digest version configured differently, or the oingr question, is the [email protected] list not configured properly to give proper email headers, or is something going wrong before the message makes it to me, when my mailserver is processing it?
If the latter there's nothing I can do, this is a public email provider (see for yourself by going to mail.com and try signing up) you'll see you can get an @asia.com account just like I have now.

I think the pgp thing is just being carried over because the attachment was already there, so mail.com vthe place where I have an @asia.com) account is doing.
It also changes my email back to a different one, and also ads a whole bunch of re: tags when its not necessary, don't believe me, see if a third appears when I send this to list (I usually have to cc it directly).
