nautilus and tracker

Shortly I installed nautilus to give it a try. What I didn't know: nautilus depends on tracker.
A day later out of nowhere my computer began to use a lot of CPU resources and was busy with my drive.
Tracker was running and indexing something.

I don't like this kind of surprises.
Actually I don't like that sometimes when I install something I don't get informed that there is also a service involved.

Is there anywhere a possibility to configure the debian system in a way that services must be explicitly started after installing something?

Thanks in advance.
