It is, Python _on Debian_, ie what the Debian distribution distributes and how. I think there are in excess of 6000 python* packages in trixie— quite a feat of packaging. But Debian lists don't support users for the languages they package—that would be pointless as there are lists and newsgroups outside Debian for that. A google search of python gui rad throws up most of the suggestions made here, and produces hits that will take you into discussions of the language rather than how Debian packages and distributes all the bits and pieces. The same applies with other major languages and subsystems (like tex, *office, X, etc.). > The Gmane name is actually rather better - linux.debian.maint.python.
