Totem 43.2-3: How do I turn off scrollbar autohide?

Good evening everyone,

I'm running Debian 13 with the Mate desktop, made the transition from
Debian 11 six weeks ago. I find the autohide behaviour of the Totem
scrollbar most annoying and can't find a way to turn it off in the GUI.

Also, I'd like to be able to hover across the volume icon and change
the level with the mousebar without having to click on the icon, like
it used to be. That being said, it's not as vital as the scrollbar
issue.

Would somebody please be so kind as to point out how to change that? A
shell prompt or script, or edit a configuration file?

Thank you for your attention, have a good one.
