I think cdtool is meant to be able to do this, though I've not tried it because all my CDs are either physical (with sleeves) or burned from my own recordings. So I don't know how good it is at querying remote databases like Musicbrainz. Nowadays I use cdtool mainly for playing CDs on a headless PC automagically via udev. Its internal CD player has an analogue 3.5mm output connection to my hifi amplifier's input. Cheers, David.
