Good for you. Seriously. I did not mean to brag; I merely meant to
make the point that I am not an amateur or lacking in experience in
this department.

I meant what I said. If I had to, say, document a piece of completely
new and unfamiliar software, I would expect to spend as long writing
it as exploring it. When I wrote a piece on how to set up a Linux
machine as a small network server in about 1997, it took me about two
months of experimentation and learning and two weeks of writing - for
10,000 words of documentation.

To document the process of building that distro from scratch?
Conservatively, 6 months' work.

I am not a quick writer, but I know of much slower ones, too.
