You're well, and not. I was do it my "new" system almost via this method. From a existing gobosystem (on SDA3) created the new on SDA5, in chroot environment, with the following gobo-tools: PrepareProgram (make) SandboxInstall SymlinkProgram Of course, in a few case (at a few programs) for ekzample Glibc, GCC, Ncurses, I used not the SymlinkProgram in the CHROOT-ed system, but the SymlinkProgram in the original system (in SDA3) WITH the goboPrefix variable. This method very good and usable, and I think, I can with this method create a full new Gobo-release! My problem only 2: 1. In the new GCC the linker work with a new behavior, as I described in my previous email, maybe yesterday. In that email I gave links to this new GCC-problem-tutorial. Because of this new linker-behavior not succes me the compiling process of lot of programs, for ekzample my preferred music player, named "moc", and Util-Linux, and I cannot compile new kernel because not work the menuconfig, etc. My knowledge not enough good, fixing this GCC-problem. 2. The second my problem, that I cannot freshen the Udev. In the LFS-book at this step I not find good tutorial, because the LFS use another boot scripts and filesystem-hierarchy, as the GoboLinux, and this is too complex/complicated problem for my knowledge. I am power user, yes, but not a very, "true" hacker. If anyone can help me in this problems, I continue the developing of a new gobo-release gladly/readily/welcome/with pleasure.
