I have just read the documentation of syslinux (the bootloader used in the
CD) and there is a request from its maintainer to ask people not to
recompile one specific and critical .asm file (which we do). I think we
must be triggering some bug because of that. One thing I can do is to
prepare a very small ISO (with, say, 10MB) so you can burn it and test. If
you are redirected to the graphical menu, then we are all set, otherwise
something else needs to be investigated from my side. Do you think that
works for you? Do you have a dvd-rw or a cd-rw media that can be used for
that purpose?
