Still problems
When typing startx, I still get following:

Could not find mime types:
'inode/directory'
'inode/blockdevice'
inode/chardevice'
inode/socket'
inode/fifo'
'application/x-shellscript'
'application/x-executable'
'application/x-desktop'

next message is:
error on application/oclet-stream

After that, you are in the desktop, but with black screen.
This is on both 32bit and 64bit hardware

NEXT

Selecting a terminal and typing ' Installer ' will allow to install 
GoboLinux.
All seems to be normal, but.......... (( with reservation , as I may 
have messed up here )) after reboot
the system refused to reboot.
I will try again later.

NEXT
trying to install from selection ' startx'  or  'Installer' did not 
allow me to install to HD

 From my point of view, we are nearly there
