Thanks! However, SymlinkProgram aborts with a error:
/bin/bash: error while loading shared libraries: libncursesw.so.5: cannot open, not found
 
I guess I can create the symlink manually...

It's a little awkward running in a virtual machine
because the screen scrolling is so very slow, but I 
can mount the partition on my host system and 
poke around.
