More elegant than OS X?

Hi,

At the announcement of GoboLinux 015, at FISL 15, it was Lucas stated that
GoboLinux solves the backward compatibility problem much more elegant than
OS X. I'd like to know more about that. What is OS X's solution, and why is
it less elegant that GoboLinux's.
