Organizing Programs by Vendor

Thoughts on the ides of organizing Programs by vendor? This could be done
by simple name, e.g. `Apache/` or perhaps more robustly by domain, `
apache.org/`.

I think the idea has merit for a couple of reasons. It creates a nice
symmetry between Users and Programs. Also, in some cases it might help
avoid names clashes between programs (bin clashes not withstanding, of
course).

It seemed like an interesting idea to me, so I was just wondering what
others thought.
