With the 64 bits improvment,

Could it be possible to create two functions in the kernel module ?

GoboFolderDisplayName $path $displayname

And

GoboFileDisplayName $path $displayname

It could be very useful to display localized names for files and folders.
Like Windows with the "Desktop.ini" file.

Principe : The path is the same but the name displayed on the screen changes...

I haven't found any function like that in KDE or others...
