Yes, "upset" means "disturbed", "troubled", not "angry" (though upset
feelings can lead to anger). For example, if you saw a dog injured, you
might become upset. Then, if you discovered that the injury was caused
by someone's negligence, you might become angry.

I have sensed that some people here are emotionally tied to
Enlightenment. To me, Enlightenment is an example of a trend in user
interfaces that is making computers harder to use. Pop-ups are
especially irritating because the operation of the OS becomes halting --
ummm... time delays (understand?) -- and rather than smoothly moving the
mouse across the desktop, I have to stop while the pop-up delays so that
when it goes away I can then see what's beneath it.

My opinion is that time spent developing Enlightenment is mis-spent.
Enlightenment appears not to add anything to make running a computer
easier or faster. It appears to simply be special effects.

I would like to be involved with adding real, desired functionality that
doesn't exist now. I listed some of that functionality. Perhaps it's not
welcome, or perhaps some people think I haven't earned the right to make
such proposals. What do you think?
