On Windows, the file extensions are hidden by option on the file manager. I always disabled that option, to be able to see what file it was exactly, and being able to change it if needed. A better option is if upon the "rename" command in the file manager, only the name itself is selected, not the file extension. Windows hides those things from users. Linux shows them, and I prefer to see them. I also used Windows for years, and had to exchange files between both OS sometimes (and still do today, only when needed). Sometimes names got mangled, just by using caracters like "ç" or "ã". -- Cumprimentos, D.er Hugo Barrocas
