Hey all,
I just downloaded latest version off you site. Install went well and so did
boot up.
I use an external monitor so it recognized it but wouldnt switch using the
Screen settings in E.
PLUS the laptop display was distorted.

  FIX: # rm -rf ~/.e ~/.elementary
  # startx

Now Im enjoying the big screen with proper fonts and resolution. :)

NEXT:
  # top

would give me htop? WTF? So I
  # locate top

with no results... Naturally,
  # updatedb

ERROR: Cant make database
REASON: /var/lib/locate & /var/lib/locate/locatedb is NON EXISTANT

  FIX: # mkdir /var/lib/locate && :> /var/lib/locate/locatedb
  # updatedb

Now I can locate stuff. Just my 2 cents. Sorry for my format.
Just woke up and I work 3rd shifts. (Eastern Time)
