The Wiki and Gobo have been maintained by Lucas, Hisham, and others who are
willing to spend their time to contribute and help, real open community
style.

I thank them all for this system that I do like to use, and could not have
if they didn't make it.

There is not a hoard of user and devs like on Ubuntu or other Linux
systems, so things get done when somebody does it, it doesn't happen by
magic...

No, it's not perfect (far from it), but I find that is more a reason to try
and help as much as possible.

Gobo is my favorite since I found it in Gobo 014, and although I'm not a
programmer, I did learn a lot just by using it, and I still learn every day.

It has been flavoured with KDE3, Enlightenment, played with it with XFCE4,
and now Awesome.
It will never please everybody, but no one is forced to use it :)

The Mate (Gnome 2) desktop could probably be installed if you wanted it,
you would have to make the recipes for it, as was done for the others.
