Hi folks,

So, I have taken a few days off and resumed my work on
ThirdPartyInstallers, which lets you install RPM and DEB packages on
GoboLinux.

The tool has reached a level of maturity that's "good enough" for simple
packages. What's new since the previous release is that it significantly
improves support for RPM. It now automatically determines dependencies
(based on information taken from rpmfind.net) and optionally installs them.

Also, we no longer symlink the installed programs by default. There are two
reasons for that. First, we don't want to pollute the /System/Index
namespace with packages coming from multiple sources. Second, our
virtualization tool, Runner, is able to execute packages installed from RPM
sources just fine; dependencies are overlaid on /System/Index on the fly
without interfering with other programs executing on the system.

The new version can be retrieved from
https://github.com/gobolinux/ThirdPartyInstallers or with a call to
"InstallPackage ThirdPartyInstallers".

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,
Lucas
