I suggest you try to update teh Scripts and Compile snapshots, just in case=
:
1. Compile Compile git
2. Compile Scripts git
3. Compile libmtdclient

Also, it's strange that Runner --check --verbose is failing when you invoke
it as a regular user. Does you Runner have the executable setuid bit set?
Is it owned by root?
