Is anyone already thinking about this? I've been thinking about this, but not yet produced anything. My point was to add lvm(2) stuff, which also uses dm. Only th interrupted me by pointing me to the rescue target and its boot cycle function. But without this, I'd have need for a initrd with lvm modules and tools ...
