Since this message remains unanswered I drop a note for the humble user:

There is no switch whatsoever to tell stone to do something with your SATA 
devices. You need a kernel with SATA support and they will show up as scsi 
devices and stone will use them just fine.

You need to build a custom ISO with ROCK since ROCK does not include SATA in 
the default kernel. However if you are lucky they are available as modules 
and you can modprobe them - though IIRC they are not. The same applies for 
the T2 2.1 stable series.

For greated user experience I could recommend the fully modular kernel with 
hotplug++ in the early user-space to recognize any hardware needed to boot as 
done in the T2 2.2 tree.
