Ok, so here is the part you should have been reading:

2. if there is any reason for updating to the new version of the file.
simply changing the cksum is a no-do. noone who has the old version would
download the new file - the Download script would simply see that the file
is already there and be happy about it. So, if there is a reason to update,
it is mandatory to also change the filename - or the change would do much
harm (some people having the old version and others the new -> builds and
build errors aren't reproduceably anywore).
