I'll look at this, I already talked to the author when I packaged this.

As I said, I test the glibc update with gcc-4.0.1 atm, trying a crystal build. 
I can do a reference build later to see if many packages will fail due that 
so that we can close up to other distributions that switch to gcc4 atm.
