I just found out that from 2.6.10 on udev can receive hotplug events from the 
kernel via netlink socket. After the first received message on this way it 
ignores what comes from udevsend anyway. 
The udev README suggested use is (from 2.6.15 on) to use "" 
in /proc/sys/kernel/hotplug to avoid unnecessary events.
I tried it and it works.
