Well, something totally fubar somewhere then. I tested with the PAM and shadow
updates and I couldn't login for the life of me. Not even a "Password: " prompt
appeared.
I then logged in with real_init=/bin/bash, manually started network and
downgraded to the versions currently in trunk which actually work.
