the behaviour is the same as with Xorg 6.9, so no new bugs introduced ;)

i see two other issues: the whole windowmanager/session selection is not
yet ported over from the x.org package. that's pretty much what keeps me
from applying the patches, if i run startx in my test build, i get an
xterm on black background.

the other issue is a little more frustrating: the space needed increased
to 2 cds, because of the overhead of all the new packages, we're 11Mb
over 650 Mb. Suggestions?

Maybe if we un-core some of the new fonts?

this has to change back to /var/log!

stefan, if you have the time, please take a look at the first issue and
the /var/log thing, if not, please tell me, so i can. We will take care
of the second issue later.
