[rock-user] Are suitable tarballs available to build ROCK for 64bit G5 iMac (Rev2) w/ATI video chipset yet ?

Hi to all current Rockers and n00bs,

Just a quick question or two,,,,

Is or are there 64bit tarballs available for download for  ROCK Linux 
build and or compile and or cross-compile
for a workable bootable Rock Linux System on a 64bit iMac G5 (Revision2) 
with ATI on Logic Board Graphic
Chipset.

Unfortunately at this point in time we have no way to use networking on 
the above target Latest Apple iMac G5.
We only have internal v90 / v92 modem Internet access via OSX 10.4.3 
with "NO" installed Linux on
Newest New World Mac succesful Linux installs on the above iMac G5 to 
this point in time.

We do also have access through external v90 / v92 modem from both win2k 
and Fedora Core 4 on another
X86 AMD based PC in the same room as the above mentiond iMac G5 through 
a 2nd phone line.
We have 2 by 10 hours online before forced redial isp accounts.
There are other inheriant problems not the least of which is the "SMU" 
Controller Chip on this particular
iMac G5 rev2 Logic Board and addressing the i2c driver issues by a range 
of other Linux PPC64bit on apple
G5 64bit compatible distros,,, some of which dont get past certain parts 
of the GUI/NON-GUI Installer
without failing,,,, Or,,,,,
fail post sucessful install at the GUI Login,,, freezing up mouse  and 
or keyboard !
These problems are indeed serious, and considering Apple stopped 
manufactur of the iMac model in October
2005 (just last month). One really has to wonder 'why" it has taken so 
long to address the matters involved with
newer iso and or tarballs by Open Source and paid Commercial distro's.
The matters involved, speak volumes as to how far behind the times, 
Linux Distro's on Newest New World Apple
Hardware we all are at this point in time.

Can someone offer us a best options solution, or best set of options 
and  solutions, re CRUX on Apple PPC 64bit,
aka. our iMac G5 rev2 17" flat screen pc, involving our local standalone 
imac G5 without internet network access.
We will take all advice on the above matters offered to us through this 
mailing list "most seriously."
