Yes, fake just pointed me in IRC that rev 6945 still has the old mkinitrd. You
might want to try a newer version:
http://iso.rocklinux.de/rock-ftp/unofficial/fake/test-releases/crystal_test-rev7469-pmmx_cd1.iso

In this version you also don't have to append init=/linuxrc anymore, though
root=/dev/ram0 is still necessary.
