Tried looking in /var/opt/mysql/ ?
That's where my mysql stuff is located. If that directory doesn't exist for
some reason, create it with the following permissions:

drwxr-xr-x 12 mysql mysql 616 Nov 18 22:21 /var/opt/mysql

> all are returning : cannot connect to localhost mysql /tmp/mysql.socket

This means that either MySQL isn't running or that the mysql.socket file is
located somewhere else.
