Hi,
the last days I send a lot time fixing packages for gcc-3.4. I already
have running the current build on my iBook since May the 6th or so (in
full production use).
With all the patches in submaster a desktop error count should look
like this:
./scripts/Create-ErrList -cfg system

876 builds total, 776 completed fine, 99 with errors.
This error count is still quite high - but there is not much vitally
important in it (and some might already be fixed - like the *sane*
stuff) or removed (like ammonite, ...) But due to the nature of
submaster I have two quite messy sm repositories on a x86 box and my
iBook ...
I think it is the time for other to start using gcc-3.4 (faster,
cleaner, less ICEing, better optimization, ...) and help fixing the
remaining packages.
I will slow down my gcc-3.4 adaption pace in favour of some other
things. But I'll next look into:
gtkmm vlc blender kino openh323 iee1394 librep pingus soundtracker
soup subversion-static tcpdump xine
I already have the update and patches for blender (took me > 1 hour
...) but need to fix an install issue, so better invest your time in
others. Ah, and do not waste time on the gsmp package. It is unfixable
(did not worked with gcc >= 3.0 anyway) and will soon be replaced by
gsmp-ng ...
