RE: aacraid drive failure

You need to download the afacli program and take a look at the docs; not a
light read, but worth familiarizing yourself with. http://domsch.com/linux

I'm not sure what happens in the case of not having a hot-spare and an
auto-failover, but I think you can likely replace the bad drive with a new
one, initialize it using "disk initialize" in afacli.  Then, in afacli, you
likely want to use the "container set failover" in afacli to add the disk
you just added as a failover.  I think this is all you need to do, and that
reconstruction will start automatically, but I'm not that familiar with
RAID5 and also somewhat of a newbie to AACRAID.

I have a Dell Power Edge 2550 and a drive recently failed.
I have 4 drives in a raid 5 setup running RedHate 7.3
What do I need to do to recover this and also view the status of the
recovery as it's happening?  I'm not familiar with the aacraid setup.
