+1 or "me too" for passthru support. Though the ideal practice would be to have an independent controller for the other devices, many high-density 1U servers do not have more than one PCI slot, and also have no external connectors for on-board SCSI. I'm willing to test any patches that are out there on a box with 2 external LVD tape drives connected to an Adaptec 2200S. Exactly. Pass-through non-disk devices are not supported in the version of the aacraid driver in that kernel. There's a patch pending from Adaptec (once someone goes through and explains what it does such that Alan feels comfortable in accepting it) which should add pass-through non-disk device support.
