Re: afacli on non-Redhat system

I figured it out (somewhat...). I downloaded the .tar.gz version of
afaapps (afaapps-2.6-0.tar.gz) and untarred it to a temporary directory.
I then modified MAKEDEV.afa to write to /dev instead of the current
directory since I couldn't copy MAKEDEV.afa to /dev for some reason. I
then called the script 7 times to make the devices afa0-afa6 (I didn't
spend the time to write in a loop or call it from another looped script).
After that, the compiled version of afacli worked fine (sigh of
relief...). Now I'm probably going to package this all into an RPM for
Mandrake 9.0 so I won't have to deal with it again. Let me know if you'd
like to make the RPM and SRPM available and I'll find a way of getting it
to you after I finish building it. Thank you for all your help.
