Hello I have a problem with aacraid under linux redhat 8.0. Here are the logs: May 15 18:03:39 aro kernel: aacraid:Drive 0:0:0 returning error May 15 18:03:39 aro kernel: aacraid:ID(0:00:0) - Drive spinup failed May 15 18:03:40 aro kernel: aacraid:SCSI bus reset issued on channel 0 May 15 18:03:46 aro kernel: aacraid:ID(0:00:0) - Drive spinup failed May 15 18:05:01 aro kernel: aacraid:ID(0:00:0) - Drive spindown failed May 15 18:05:01 aro kernel: aacraid:ID(0:00:0) - Cmd[0x28] failed (retries exhausted) May 15 18:05:02 aro kernel: aacraid:ID(0:00:0) - Drive spindown failed May 15 18:05:46 aro kernel: aacraid:Drive 0:0:0 online May 15 18:05:46 aro kernel: aacraid:Drive 0:0:0 returning error May 15 18:06:09 aro kernel: aacraid:Drive 0:0:0 online May 15 18:06:09 aro kernel: aacraid:Drive 0:0:0 returning error May 15 18:06:26 aro kernel: aacraid:Container 24 shutdown VERIFY task: May 15 18:06:37 aro kernel: aacraid:Container 0 started VERIFY task May 15 18:06:47 aro kernel: aacraid: Mirror Failover Container 0 no failover assigned I have created a RAID-1 array on two segate cheetach (34gb) scsci ULtra 320 disks and installed RH 8.0. I have Adaptec 2120s controller with newest firmware version. After 5 days of work...one disk has failed...I have replaced it after few hour and the controller did not start to rebuild saying: aacraid: Mirror Failover Container 0 no failover assigned. This is very important server...so if someone knows exactly what can I do to force controller to start rebuilding please let me know...I really need it.
