Hi,

We purchased a Poweredge 2650 in September and it's been running well for 3
months, however after a up2date kernel patch from 2.4.18-17.7.xsmp to
2.4.18-18.7.xsmp this weekend, the computer started to "hard" freeze every
few hours. A check of the /var/log/message gives:

Dec 18 16:09:21 bruce kernel: kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k
scsi_hostadapter, errno = 2
Dec 18 16:09:21 bruce kernel: scsi0 : percraid
Dec 18 16:09:21 bruce kernel: Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0,
channel 0, id 0, lun 0

These messages were not seen in the log before the patch. The computer was
very stable with the 18-17.7 release. Can you help us resolve in any way?
The Poweredge is our server and we cannot reboot it every few hours.

Thank you.
Mike Cheng
