I read it all in the URLs above you gave me. Looks like it is _exactly_ 
the issue I have.

I made some data processing with Amanda's logs and I found that... All 
my tapes will be "full" (end of tape) very soon (this make my think I 
misconfigured Amanda too...).

So that's exactly the problem you found!..

I've made testings by May 16th recompiling my kernel. Sources were 
patched successfully, but I cant achieve in booting the new kernel. I 
assume I misconfigured my kernel :-/

Hold on, I'm trying to make it work today.

I'll give all the feedback here on this lists to help people in the same 
situation. I really think I'm about to solve this <EOT> (End Of Tape 
signal) issue very soon.
