Dell hasn't produced one. It's not impossible to build one yourself, but isn't something we can do for you. I refer you to http://people.redhat.com/dledford/ for instructions on using Doug's driver disk development kit. You essentially need a recent version of the megaraid driver, 1.18f or 1.18h (h being the latest). > Any and all help appreciated, I'd rather here back the answer "No!" > with a reason why not, after all if I can run DOS 6.22 on the machine > and it can see the Raid 1 & 5 without a problem I'm at a loss as to > why it seems so difficult in Linux. There are a few problems. 1) Dell didn't release that OS on that platform. In fact, we didn't release 7.2 on that platform, for roughly the same reasons. See the FAQ entry for installing 7.2 on PE2600 to see how painful it is. Possible, but painful. http://lists.us.dell.com/fom-serve/cache/67.html The biggest hit comes from the IOAPIC addressing change, which earlier kernels (obviously) didn't have, but which is required for the IOAPICs to work. That and missing drivers of course... References in there to kernel 2.4.7-10a can be replaced with 2.4.20-13*. Once you get it installed, we *strongly* recommend using Red Hat Network to update your system, especially the kernel, to a recent version. The latest errata kernel 2.4.20-13* has all the hardware support needed for that platform.
