Hi all, This afternoon, and after so many weeks of testing, installing , patching and so on for trying to get stable linux on my new machine, I just tested a w2k installation to see if everything was ok what concern the hardware I get in my host and everything is ok. I copied many little and big files until now and my disks don't suck ... so I can now confirm problems I get with my host come well from a bug somewhere in linux os ( maybe driver, smp , ... ). So I hope somebody will find a solution so I can install as soon as possible my web server on this machine. vincent --- Rob Hall <rhall-UwkSZrAjFfcI+gDC1np/[email protected]> wrote: > Hello Vincent, > > Tuesday, June 10, 2003, 12:28:29 PM, you wrote: > > VB> Because I have the same problem ( see my post > earlier > VB> ), I don't understand where you disable this > VB> hperthreading functionality ( maybe it is only > for PIV > VB> or a DELL server).
