Hi, We have recently purchassed a Dell Poweredge 1650 with Adaptec PERC3/DI Raid Controler. I have 2 HD, so I've done Raid 1 mirror by hardware using the Ctrl-M (or Ctrl-A) command when sistem boots. I guess this utility is ebeeded in the Controler Bios. After system has resynced doth disks (scrubbing...), I have installed OS. I used the Debian 2.4.20 Linux (Woody) release and it has detected the aacraid controler fine. I Have the system perfectly UP & running. Now there goes the question: How can I realize if a disk fails ? Doing mirror bi software you can type some commands and automatize this check to find out if failover procudes, then replace disk and fix miror... I'm going mad trying to find the Dell Openmannage Solution for Debian release, or any CLI module I can install to interrogate system, but for this release I can't find anything. Can you gine me some help ? Thanks a lot, Gerard Delmas. _______________________________________ Gerard Delmás Camacho Universitat Oberta de Catalunya Infraestructures tecnològiques [email protected] http://www.uoc.edu
