I've made the changes that MarkS from Adaptec discussed in his recent post to the list as follows: kernel-2.4.22_pre2 (gentoo package "gss-sources") drivers/scsi/aacraid/aacraid.h: #define AAC_NUM_FIB 512 #define AAC_NUM_IO_FIB 448 This makes AAC_NUM_IO_FIB+64 = AAC_NUM_FIB I compiled the kernel with gcc-2.95-3 and have been running with 'stress' for >24 hours: stress -c 8 -i 4 -m 16 --vm-bytes 256M -d 2 (*Warning* - These settings are for an 8-way SMP machine with 4GB of RAM! Please adjust to fit *your* hardware config. You have been warned. This is not a recording.) Previously, this would not run for more than 12 hours before crashing. I will update the list again on Monday. Hope this helps someone.
