Andy, did the patch for you from MarkS do the trick? You mentioned you'd let us know on Monday. I've just taken v1.1.4 of the aacraid driver that I got from MarkS and applied it to one of our machines here. Just died again after the same thing that killed it last night. Same error as always: aacraid: Host adapter reset request. SCSI hang ? We have a Dell 2650 with a PERC3/Di ... the only difference we have with all of the other 2650's is that this is a proxy server. I've got one mirror with 2 disks and then the other 3 disks are just volumes mounted seperately. This gives Squid slightly better performance. We had a client hit this machine that was a crawler ... they were crawling all kinds of sites ... and the machine immediately went belly up. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the volumes not behaving well together the controller. Anybody else using this setup? Also, I have an identical 2650 although about 8 months older with the exact same configuration (the other proxy server) and its working like a champ. Maybe we haven't hit that "magic" problem but its currently handling all of the load right now just fine. This is machine is running Debian GNU/Linux with a stock 2.4.22 kernel and the 1.1.4 aacraid driver set. Anyone? Scott :-) -- Network Engineering Oregon State University "Open Minds. Open Doors.
