Dell2650/Perc 3Di: another victim

Hi,
I'm one of the many victims of the aacraid timeouts/crashes on a PE2650/Perc
3Di.
It seems that using a non-SMP kernel alleviates the problem for me but is
is not a solution.
We are in process to migrate all servers in our company from HP to Dell
and this issue is a big problem.
I'm not a kernel-compiling-fan, but I'm more an rpm-installer: I'd like
to see on official RPM update from Redhat.
In any case, I can also try the kernel-compiling way... I downloaded the
patch from Mark but I'm not able to compile it as module: do I need to recompile
the whole kernel?
