Hi,
I am having problems on a Dell PowerEdge 2450 when rebuilding the
container.
I get to about 26.5%, and then the rebuild fails leaving this message in
/var/log/messages:
kernel: aacraid:ID(0:01:0); Medium Error, Block Range 18888320 :
18888447
kernel: aacraid:ID(0:01:0); Unrecovered Read Error
kernel: aacraid:Container 0 failed REBUILD task: I/O error - drive 0:1:0
failed
kernel: aacraid:Container 0 started REBUILD task on drive 0:2:0
I have recently had to swap drive 0:2:0 after I had a total failure on
it, but this message seems to indicate that drive 0:1:0 is broken too.
There are no orange LED's on the front of the drive though.
Am I correct in thinking that I need to call Dell to get 0:1:0 replaced?
I have also left the server in the RAID BIOS, and it won't rebuild from
there either.
I have also noticed that when using the afacli command, that the
controller seems to think it hasn't got a battery - is this right?
