The one that is in 2.6 is already matching this driver, to some degree. This
patch is effectively an attempt to synchronize 2.4 to the 2.6 level.

The *history* is that we have been working closely with Mark Haverkamp, who
gates the aacraid sources into 2.6 allowing that driver to be as feature
complete as our release sources we send through qualification testing for
Distribution (RedHat, SuSE etc, all 2.4) releases. So 2.6 has been
synchronized to our release driver. This patch is to get the 2.4 driver to
match our release sources.

Our sources are marked up *severely* to compile in all (2.4, 2.5 and 2.6)
environments. This patch is a cleansed version (remove tons if ifdefs).
However, 2.6 will probably diverge too far for me to follow this pattern of
using one source to do it all.

Sincerely -- Mark Salyzyn

Any plan to officially support 2.6 kernels?

In the meantime if you need aacraid for 2.6 you can use the one available
from http://www.pureftpd.org/aacraid-new.tar.gz but an officially supported
one would be way better.
